After while, firefox on my mac starts to slow down, ok I usually have a lot of tabs opened, and I use heavy extensions like firebug, greasemonkey or NoScript...

Over time I've found that the best solution I have is to just force-quit firefox, aka:

killall -9 firefox-bin

The crash manager of firefox usually allows me to restore my previous session with all that valuable tabs saved. But not always, like two minutes ago :(

So it was very fast to get internet, but it was very fast to loose it, too!

2 days ago the cable modem get desynchronized all of a sudden. I called support, and I tried my best not to laugh:

• I was told to invert my ethernet cable (heh, just in case!)
• to exchange my modem (okay, why not but weird)

So I returned the already used modem, got a new one (thomson), same issue. So the cable guy will come this morning and he will probably fix the mess in the building cable box, I bet they have disconnected my by mistake or something.
